It's Spring!

Of course in Ohio, that still means snow and cold temps. To my kids, though, it brings Easter, warmer weather dressing, longer play periods outside, and if you catch them at just the right time.....the most contagious laughter you've ever heard. Their giggle sessions make ME giggle.

Although I wasn't quite ready for Easter this year (as far as baskets and the details the kids love) it was here before we knew it. Here are a couple images from our day at Nana & Papa's after celebrating at church. All of the girls picked out dresses with my mother, and were thrilled to wear them for the first time.

Hope your celebrations at church and with your families were memorable, delicious, and relaxing.

Three cheers for spring!

Calling an End to Snow Days

With calamity days maxed out, kids who can't find much else to do but watch TV shows and play computer games, and spring fashions that have saturated store shelves, I am declaring an end to snow days and winter in general. Once March 1st rolled around, it became even more clear.

Don't you feel the itch as well? I'm ready to start walking with my neighbor friends in the evening, lose some weight, and shop for some much needed spring clothes. Soon it will be time for bike rides, and softball practice...and kids who, hopefully, won't want to come in for dinner or bedtime.

A few winter images to remember our "snow days" off from school, and some time at home baking with mom.
